Higashidateyama Alpine Botanical Garden is one of Japan's premier alpine botanical gardens, located at the summit of Higashidateyama at an elevation of 2,000 meters. Easily accessible via the Shiga Kogen Ropeway, visitors can observe approximately 500 species of alpine plants.
