Yudanaka Onsen is located in the rich natural environment of Nagano Prefecture and is beloved by many visitors as a historic hot spring resort. It is also conveniently accessible, allowing visitors to reach it by various means of transportation.

Access by Train
When traveling to Yudanaka Onsen from Tokyo or Kansai, first head to Nagano Station. From Tokyo Station, it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes via the Hokuriku Shinkansen. Access to Nagano Station is also easy from Nagoya or Osaka via limited express trains.
After arriving at Nagano Station, transfer to the Nagano Electric Railway limited express "Snow Monkey" for about 45 minutes to the final stop, Yudanaka Station. From Yudanaka Station, you can reach the hot spring area on foot or by bus.
Access by car
For those arriving by car, take the Joshinetsu Expressway and exit at Shinshu-Nakano IC. Yudanaka Onsen is approximately a 20-minute drive from there. Winter roads are often snowy, so we recommend preparing winter tires or chains.
Access by bus
From Nagano Station, convenient express buses run toward Shiga Highlands. Departing from the East Exit bus stop, they arrive at Yudanaka Onsen in about 50 minutes without transfers. Enjoy the scenery from the window as you travel here with ease.
